2024 WBHS History Student of the Year

The Whitehall Borough Historical Society hosted a program with author Tom McMillan on his book Flight 93. We also awarded our History Student of the year award. In the attached picture from left to right is David Thomas, Vice President of the Society, Katie Temme, teacher at Baldwin High School, Rakshya Kafle, our awardee, a senior at Baldwin High School, Rakshya mom, Muna, Rakshya’s brother Rohan, Rakshya’s dad, Krishna and John Wotus, President of the Society. Rakshya received a plaque to take home, her name is inscribed in the large plaque which will be on display in the Whitehall Borough Building in the Society’s display case and three books purchase in her name, one for her to keep, one for the Baldwin High School Library and another to the Whitehall Borough Library. In addition Rakshya received a check for $500.00 for her future education. The program talk and award presentation attracted over 90 attendees
