WBHS Update - August, 2024

The WBHS has had a very successful 2024 so far.. We have hosted two outstanding programs with two more scheduled for the remaining part of 2024. We are also nearing 100 members!! We look forward to seeing everyone at Whitehall Community Day on August 10th in Brennan Plaza!

The Main Story

Upcoming Programs - 2024 - Wednesday, September 11th, Jon Delano will speak on "Battleground Pennsylvania: Why this State and our region is the door to the White House. On Thursday, October 24th, Tom McMillan will speak on his book about Flight 93. That program will be a part of our members meeting where we will be honoring our History Student of the Year!

  Programs in 2025 - February 27th,  William Switala will be speaking on Western Pa. activity on the Underground Railway.
On April 24th, Jon-Erik Gilot will discuss John Brown's raid on Harper's Ferry.
September 25th, Brian Reedy manager of Fort Necessity Battlefield will discuss the French and Indian War.
October 24th, will be our 2025 member's meeting. Speaker to be announced.

2025 Whitehall Borough Historical Society calendar

The WBHS has produced and have for sale their 2025 historical society calendar. The purchase price is $5.00 but new and renewing members will receive a calendar for free. Membership are $10.00 for an individual, $20.00 for a family membership. Membership are good through 2025.

Whitehall Borough Street Signs and Welcome to Whitehall Signs are still available for sale. Street signs are $25.00 and Welcome to Whitehall signs are $100.00 Please see the signs at Whitehall Community Day.
